After winning over Memphis with Bar Limina, entrepreneur and hospitality mainstay Josh Conley is getting ready to launch a new chapter. He will be opening By + By, which promises to be one of 2027’s most exciting openings, in a location sure to take visitors breath away, reports Daily Memphian.

Work is currently underway on By + By’s rooftop home atop the Hu.Hotel. Conley posted on Instagram a week ago that the bar is also in the process of hiring, showing that progress is moving at a steady clip. While a precise opening date is not yet available, By + By is currently apace to begin greeting customers in early spring of 2027.

While details about By + By are scant, it seems destined to become a destination for Memphis. Described as “Cocktails and views dedicated to the lowlands, and time, and place”, Conley assures future regulars that the establishment will be “…one of the most special spaces in the city.”

Conley and Ugly Art Co. owner Anderson Goin are working on a pop-up bar for the Hu. Hotel’s lobby to ensure local whistles stay wet while awaiting By + By’s opening. Hu. Lobby will begin pouring drinks on November 12 and is anticipated to be open for about 6 months.
