An upcoming restaurant is giving Memphis pizza fanatics a new home for fresh slices. A concept called Flaming Pizza has filed papers to open a location on Hacks Cross Road.

The fiery new eatery has a certificate of occupancy application submitted for 4141 Hacks Cross Road, suite 109 with the Memphis and Shelby County Division of Planning and Development. The form describes Flaming Pizza as a “limited restaurant” which will span 1,800 square feet and has an occupant load of 20.

Flaming Pizza’s business owner is listed as Sami Alnajjar, a name also associated with a Flaming Pizza located in Cordova. That particular establishment specializes in “halal-friendly pizza, calzones, pasta, sandwiches, salads, and more”. Given the shared common denominators of nomenclature and Alnajjar, it seems probable the Hacks Cross Road Flaming Pizza will serve up similar fare.

An opening timeline is not yet available for the pizzeria; the certificate of occupancy is listed as “in review” as of October 22. What Now Memphis has reached out to ownership for further details and will update readers as information become available.
