The team behind Burgers and Blues is getting ready to launch a brand new chapter. Crafted 81 is poised to become Madison’s newest culinary obsession, bringing a fresh home for pizza, tacos, and smash burgers to Gluckstadt, reports Clarion Ledger.

Helmed by restaurateur Steven Sahler, Crafted 81 will be opening as a part of the upcoming Kayo Center development. The eatery is set to span approximately 7,000 square feet, with plenty of outdoor space for those who prefer their meals al fresco. Sahler describes the vision for the space, saying: “We wanted to provide a welcoming green space environment as a great place for people to bring their family, hangout and watch whatever game is on. We’re going to have a full bar outside with full drink service, cool desserts and tables and chairs for everyone to come outside and relax.”

Crafted 81 will have seating for around 110 guests inside and will be able to accommodate another 150 outside.

The concept has been documenting its development via social media, inviting customers to follow the journey as it progresses. While the restaurant is moving along steadily, Crafted 81 still visibly has considerable work to be done.

The restaurant does not have a precise opening date, however future regulars can anticipate sampling Crafted 81’s fare at some point in March of 2027.
