There’s a new day dawning for Germantown breakfast. Sunrise Memphis is bringing its quick, reliable, and sustaining approach to the most important meal of the day to the area, with plans to open in 2027, reports Memphis Business Journal.
Sunrise will be inviting Germantown locals to greet the day with it at 7699 Farmington Boulevard, in a storefront that previously housed an AutoZone. The restaurant’s ownership currently has a commercial alteration permit application under review with the Memphis and Shelby County Division of Planning and Development for the location, showing that the concept will span 4,900 square feet.
Owner Ryan Trimm tells Daily Memphian that the Germantown location is the culmination of a thorough search. “We were looking everywhere. I knew I’m not ready to branch out of Memphis. I appreciate that we’re here. I love the city. I knew I wanted to do at least three here, possibly one more.”
The Germantown restaurant will be Sunrise Memphis’s third storefront, joining spaces on Poplar Avenue and Jefferson Avenue on the concept’s roster. Those two open and operational locations will be available to help enthusiastic future Germantown regulars bide their time until the new restaurant’s opening in late spring of next year.
Sunrise Memphis offers an impressive selection of Southern breakfast dishes, ranging from biscuit sammies to whimsically named plates like “the not so short stack” and “dive bar double down”.
