“A major retail transformation is underway along Augusta Highway in Lexington County, with a new Target-anchored shopping center and several other businesses reshaping the corridor near Lexington High School,” said coverage by The State published this summer. “The area is drawing national chains and local favorites alike as the county’s population continues to climb.”

What Now has been reporting about the Victory Village development all year, with openings for brands like Parker’s Kitchen, Dave’s Hot Chicken, and Academy Sports + Outdoors.

Now, The Lexington Ledger reports that a new Whataburger will open at 2550 Augusta Highway.

“No official opening date has been announced by Whataburger at this time. The project is still being reported as a planned development. Lexington County continues to attract new businesses, restaurants, and national retailers, bringing plenty of changes to our community!” says the coverage. “Who’s excited about another Whataburger coming to Lexington?”

The classic burger chain’s menu includes an increasingly eclectic range of choices. The Whataburger website is currently highlighting choices like the newly returned Monterey Melt, the new Big Ranch Wrap, and the limited-time-only Chicken Fajita Taco.

“Whataburger is more than a burger chain,” the website says. “It’s a place that feels like home to more than 51,000 employees, called Family Members, and millions of customers. It’s a brand built on pride, care and love. It’s a place people count on in their communities. It’s a place where goodness lives. So now with more than 1,130 Whataburger restaurants across 17 states stretching from Las Vegas to the Carolinas, road-trippers and hometown folks alike continue gathering under the big orange-and-white roofs for fresh, made-to-order burgers and friendly service.”
