Chipotle could open its newest Atlanta-area location in the forthcoming Northside & 17th mixed-use development, a 12.5-acre site next door to IKEA Atlantic Station.

The project is being developed in a joint venture with Fuqua Development and The Ardent Companies.

Ardent, under the project’s company “TAC 17th Street West LLC,” Thursday filed a permit application with City of Atlanta to buildout the 2,300-square-foot Chipotle in the mixed-use project, at 1299 Northside Drive.

An estimated $300,000 would be spent on the restaurant’s interior and exterior, according to the permit filing.

Chipotle would be the second known tenant for Northside & 17th, behind Kroger Co., the project’s anchor.

The supermarket giant earlier this year bought nearly seven acres of the project for $10.9 million to construct an 80,000-square-foot.

Ardent did not immediately return What Now Atlanta’s request for comment.
