one cafe blanc and yoeshi close downtown ~ what now, atlanta?

Opened and closed for business ONE too many times

One Café Blanc and Yoeshi have closed.

Located at 171 Auburn avenue, the restaurants opened late January in the foreclosed Renaissance Walk Condos and Retail property Downtown.

After temporarily closing for several months, One Café and Yoeshi reopened in August under a new Executive Chef and GM.

General manager, Grace Khe, said the owner was fighting for their original lease agreement which was not going to be honored by the new landlord.

To make matters worse, the restaurant was still in the application process for a liquor license.

“We are in the process of getting our liquor license which we should have in about a week,” Khe told us back in August.

We called the restaurant and received a disconnected line and a drive to the space confirms they’ve closed for good.

Can’t say we’re surprised. Even with the large traffic of students at Georgia State University, their menu was like a game of Scattergories. Their mix of Korean, American fusion, never quite rested with out palates.
