Blue Moon Pizza is temporarily shuttering its Marietta outpost December 23 in preparation for a several-week renovation.

The pizzeria, at 2359 Windy Hill Road SE, will reopen January 8, 2018, following construction, management Thursday told What Now Atlanta in a telephone interview.

Plans were filed in Cobb County earlier this month for the $350,000 overhaul which will be completed over the course of several phases.

The first phase includes a massive renovation of Blue Moon’s kitchen and dining areas, including expanding into adjacent space.

After the pizzeria reopens in January, Blue Moon will close for a “day here and there” to complete the additional phases including renovations to the bathrooms and patio.

The restaurant “won’t be recognizable” once construction is complete.
