Grass-fed double cheeseburgers runneth over in Highland Park. Pop-up restaurant Goldburger announced Wednesday on Instagram that its temporary storefront, at 5623 York Blvd, is now permanent. “Next month was supposed to be the end of our time here, but instead how about we stick around for a while longer,” the company wrote in the social media announcement. “I’m excited to let you all know that our current pop-up location is now our very first permanent restaurant.”
Goldburger got its start as an Instagram account “showcasing great burgers in great cities” and turned into a burger pop-up. The company opened in the Highland Park space on May 14. Before that, Goldburger ran a “semi-permanent but definitely temporary” outpost in Silver Lake up until March 15.
“It’s perfect for the current times and allows us to provide you with easy and safe socially distanced take out and delivery, but as you can see from the rendering above we’re going to have a small patio for you sometime in the hopefully not so distant future,” Goldburger wrote Wednesday. “I couldn’t think of a better location and building that hits my goals of being a neighborhood and classic LA burger joint.”
