Chai Pani Decatur, at 406 W Ponce de Leon Ave., has temporarily suspended its operations, including takeout and delivery, in response to the ongoing novel coronavirus pandemic.

The seven-year-old Indian street food restaurant closed its doors indefinitely at 8 p.m. April 1.

“We know this is the right thing to do, to keep our employees safe and healthy, even though itโ€™s also a hard thing to do,” a company spokesperson in an email told What Now Atlanta.โ €โฃ

Chai Pani had just recently reopened its doors after a 10-day renovation to its dining room and a relaunch of its menu.

The restaurant joins a growing list of eateries pressing the breaks during the โ€œstay at homeโ€ including The Vortex, Rocket Farm Restaurants, Star Provisions Restaurant Group, Slutty Vegan, and many more.
