Keith Young and Hoosh Mishu, the owners of “after hours” event series Xion, have plans to launch a two-story, 14,000-square-foot cabaret and dance club called Future in Underground Atlanta, Project Q Thursday first reported.

Young, who is also the recent co-owner of Midtown Tavern, in an email confirmed the news to What Now Atlanta (WNA).

The project is currently in permitting with the City of Atlanta and is “waiting on an opening date,” Young told WNA.

A 10-year lease has been secured for Future, at 180 Lower Alabama Street, according to Project Q.

Future “will be geared toward LGBTQ patrons” but the space will be available to rent for other functions and events.

Underground Atlanta is currently undergoing a resurgence under the direction of new owners WRS Inc.

Representatives for the downtown development did not immediately respond to WNA’s request for comment.
