Hyatt Centric Buckhead, a planned 16-story hotel on the “edge” of Lenox Square Mall near the George C. Bynum Pedestrian Bridge, is moving forward.

Recently filed permit applications submitted to the City of Atlanta seek approvals for “vertical demolition” to ready the site for construction, at 3301 Lenox Road NE.

Once complete, Hyatt Centric Buckhead will offer 221 keys including 12 suites in addition to a rooftop restaurant with “360-degree views” of Buckhead and downtown, set to be designed by a yet-to-be-named “local restauranteur” and The Johnson Studio.

There will also be a lobby café/restaurant with outdoor dining “easily accessed” from Path 400.

Additional amenities include a fitness center, a pool and deck, and 4,000-square-feet of meeting space.

A timeline for vertical construction has not yet been announced.
