Cinnaholic, the gourmet cinnamon bun bakery franchise, is set to open a location on Peachtree Parkway in mid-September, after Labor day, as confirmed by the franchisee. Replacing Soho Gifts, this will be the third Cinnaholic location to open in the Atlanta area. One is already located in Dunwoody (which recently debuted) and one in Edgewood.

Cinnaholic is a relatively new chain, opening its first location in 2010 in Berkley, California. Their entire menu is 100 percent vegan, as the owners, Shannon and Florian Radke believe “everyone has the power to make a positive change in the world—for our people, the animals, and the planet,” according to the company’s website.

The franchisee, who asked not to be named, signed the Cinnaholic franchise agreement in March of 2019. He searched for a location for several months before finally settling on the Peachtree Parkway location in January of this year.

“There’s a ton of stuff I looked at, but it’s got to be the right rent, the right sized space,” he said. “We need about 1,000 square feet. We don’t need a ton of space. Actually that size of box is a little harder to find than I actually thought.”

With the necessary permits already acquired, the owner says they’re interviewing general contractors right now. Previously more of a franchise “fixer guy,” this will be the first time the owner is building a restaurant. “So, this is a little bit new for me,” he said.
