lululemon has closed its store on Howell Mill Road in West Midtown Atlanta. The brand did not provide specific details about the decision. A sign at the store’s door directs customers to other Atlanta locations of the brand.
lululemon Closes Its Howell Mill Road Store
lululemon is a popular athleisure brand that has closed its Howell Mill Road store. According to a WSB-TV report, the store closed on Saturday, August 29. The company shut down the location following what it called “thoughtful consideration.”
The sign on the store’s door refers shoppers to the brand’s Ponce City Market location.
lululemon’s Howell Mill Road store has been targeted in multiple theft incidents in recent years. The Atlanta Journal-Constitution article from December 2024 reports a burglary incident at the store. The front glass door of the store was smashed, and more than 200 items worth nearly $27,000 were reported missing.
Another report by 11 Alive in February 2025 stated that police arrested two people accused of stealing hundreds of items from the store. Officers recovered 440 lululemon items valued at $38,709 from a vehicle.
In August 2025, a FOX 5 Atlanta report stated that police investigated another possible smash-and-grab at the store. The article also reported that the incident was at least the fourth time in a year that the police had been called to the store.
Note: These incidents predated the closure, and none of the reports establish a connection between the thefts and lululemon’s decision to close the location.
