According to public filings, O’Reilly Auto Parts is making a significant push across the greater Austin region, with three separate projects in the works: a new location in Travis, and additional stores in Hays and Bell counties. The retailer, which serves both professional service providers and do-it-yourself customers, sells vehicle parts including batteries, accessories, brakes, and filters.

What Now Austin reached out to O’Reilly Auto Parts representatives for more information about the opening timelines and future plans for the Texas market, but did not receive a response before publication.

Austin (Travis County)

The Austin project, at 5000 Springdale Rd. in Travis County, involves the renovation of an existing 9,145-square-foot retail space, with work scheduled to begin in July 2026 and be completed by September 2026. The scope includes interior updates such as new finishes and sales area millwork. The location was formerly occupied by a Dollar General, a store that sells a wide variety of snacks, groceries, cleaning products, and home goods.

San Marcos (Hays County)

In San Marcos, a new 7,225-square-foot store is planned at the intersection of State Highway 123 and Rattler Road in Hays County, with construction set to begin in November 2026 and be completed by March 2027.

Belton (Bell County)

The third project, a new 7,282-square-foot store in Belton at 1431 S. Loop 121 in Bell County, is expected to begin construction in October 2026, with completion slated for June 2027.

The company is also deepening its Texas infrastructure: according to Supply Chain Dive, O’Reilly acquired a 560,000-square-foot distribution center in Texas, which is projected to begin operations in 2027 and service approximately 350 stores across the South Central U.S. The chain is also planning a location in Groesbeck as part of its ongoing Texas expansion. Opening dates for the three new locations have not yet been announced.
