Valvoline Instant Oil Change plans to build a new automotive service center in Dripping Springs, according to a project filing with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation. City planning records identify the location as 403 E. U.S. 290.
The filing describes a 3,447-square-foot building with a lube pit. Construction is scheduled to begin June 7, 2027, and finish November 8, 2027. The project is estimated to cost $1.449 million. An opening date has not been announced.
Established in 1986, Valvoline Instant Oil Change specializes in drive-through vehicle maintenance. Franchise operator Velocity Auto Care owns and operates 48 of the brand’s Texas locations, including centers in Austin, El Paso, and San Antonio.
At existing centers, drivers can stay in their vehicles during an oil change, and appointments aren’t required. The brand also offers other preventive maintenance services, including battery and air-filter replacement, tire rotation, and fluid changes.
Availability varies by location, and a service lineup for the Dripping Springs center has not been announced.
