A Dallas-born infrared yoga and wellness studio is bringing its community-centered concept to Austin. According to public filings, Ritual One plans to open at 410 Baylor St. What Now Austin reached out to co-founder Kalene McGraner, who confirmed that the opening is targeted for late winter 2026.
Ritual One is an infrared-heated yoga and sculpt studio founded by McGraner and her partner, Rachel Preston, both longtime yoga teachers and lifelong athletes. The brand was built around a gap the founders identified in the wellness market: infrared-heated yoga done right, with proper air filtration, intentional room design, and a multi-format offering.
The name reflects the ethos. “Ritual One — R One — means we are one. We are open to all,” McGraner told What Now Austin. Ritual One’s class menu spans yoga, sculpt, HIIT, strength, and Pilates, all held in infrared heat and led by instructors trained in the brand’s proprietary method.
The Austin location marks Ritual One’s third studio, following its Dallas flagship and a Houston location that has been operating for nearly two years. The space, featuring an exposed brick exterior and plans for locally commissioned murals, caught the founders’ attention immediately.
“We loved the brick wall outside, and we have big plans for some murals for local artists. It just kind of was meant to be. It’s a beautiful space. We’re very excited,” McGraner told What Now Austin.
The expansion reflects a vision the founders have been building since launching during the pandemic, a difficult moment that, in retrospect, proved to be the right time for them.
“We opened with a wing and a prayer,” McGraner said, noting that things figured out well, “it turned into something really beautiful where communities have come together. Because of the sculpt component and the yoga component, we’ve brought in groups of people who would have probably never come under one roof before.”
The Baylor Street location places the studio in one of Austin’s most walkable and up-and-coming corridors, close to Clarksville and just west of downtown, a neighborhood the founders described as the perfect home for a brand rooted in community.
“We are thrilled to be there, excited to join the other businesses nearby, and we look forward to meeting everyone,” McGraner told What Now Austin.
