A new kind of Whole Foods Market is making its way to Boston’s Seaport District.

On Wednesday, May 13, the company announced that it has signed a lease for a new Whole Foods Market Daily Shop at 111 Harbor Way, introducing the company’s smaller-format spinoff concept to the fast-growing neighborhood.

Designed to prioritize convenience without sacrificing quality, Whole Foods Market Daily Shop stores offer a more streamlined shopping experience focused on everyday essentials, quick meals, and grab-and-go favorites.

Each Daily Shop location features a smaller layout intended to simplify navigation, highlight popular items, and make shopping trips quicker and more efficient. The format also allows the company to experiment with new merchandising strategies and product assortments that could influence future Whole Foods locations.

The upcoming Seaport shop is expected to carry a curated selection of fresh produce, meat and seafood, prepared foods, bakery items, and a curated selection of 365 by Whole Foods Market products, along with goods from local and regional suppliers.

“Daily Shop is an important part of how we’re growing our physical store presence,” said Christina Minardi, Vice President of Real Estate and Store Development at Whole Foods Market and Amazon. “As we expand this smaller format into new cities, we’re continuing to deliver the same high standards and carefully curated assortment Whole Foods Market is known for, in a way that meets our customers’ everyday needs.”

The Daily Shop concept first launched in New York City in 2024 and has since expanded following strong customer response. Earlier this spring, Whole Foods opened its first international Daily Shop location in London, with additional stores planned for Chicago and Philadelphia over the next two years.

An opening date for the Seaport shop is expected to be announced at a later date, and a representative for the company told What Now Boston that they have no additional details to share about the store at this time.
