An acclaimed pizza destination is coming to downtown Charleston soon.
Prince St. Pizza, founded by the Morano family and operated by food entrepreneur Lawrence Longo, is set to open at 350 King St.
The pizzeria was originally expected to open last year but has faced delays. Charleston realtor Christeen Faucette recently included Prince St. Pizza in a post highlighting new businesses coming to the city, suggesting a debut could be nearing.
Prince St. Pizza opened in New York City in 2012. The Morano family has passed down its recipes for generations, built around the idea that “if you can put it on pasta, you can put it on pizza.” The menu features Neapolitan pies and Sicilian “SoHo” squares, offering a classic New York slice shop experience.
The spot is known for menu favorites including “The Original Prince,” a classic cheese pizza with mozzarella; “The Naughty Pie,” topped with spicy vodka prosciutto sauce, pepperoni, mozzarella, ricotta and Zab’s Hot Honey; and “Spicy Vodka,” featuring spicy vodka prosciutto sauce, mozzarella and pecorino Romano.
Prince St. Pizza operates 19 locations across New York, California, Arizona, Nevada, Florida, Texas, Chicago and Toronto, with a Nashville, Tennessee, location also set to open soon.
An official opening date has not yet been announced, however, visit the Prince St. Pizza website and follow along on Instagram and Facebook for the latest updates.
