Cooper’s Hawk Winery & Restaurant is planning to expand its Charlotte presence with a proposed location at 3029 Pineville-Matthews Road in The Arboretum.
A recently filed pre-submittal meeting request with the City of Charlotte outlines plans for a new freestanding, one-story full-service restaurant with a patio at the site. The application, currently in the preliminary design phase, marks an early step in the development process.
WhatNow Charlotte reached out to Cooper’s Hawk Winery & Restaurant for additional information. Nicole Montella, a member of the company’s public relations team, confirmed the project in a statement. “We’re in early stages for a Cooper’s Hawk at The Arboretum, which is exciting! We’ve signed a lease and are pursuing development permits,” Montella said.
The permit describes the scope of work as the construction of a full-service Cooper’s Hawk Winery & Restaurant with an outdoor patio. While a construction schedule and opening timeline have not yet been announced, the filing indicates the company is moving forward with planning for the Charlotte location.
According to Cooper’s Hawk Winery & Restaurants website, the company was founded in 2005 by CEO Tim McEnery and has since expanded to more than 70 locations nationwide, pairing its contemporary American restaurants with an on-site winery, tasting room, and wine club.
WhatNow Charlotte will continue to follow the project’s progress and provide updates as additional details, including a construction timeline and opening date, become available.
