South Block is expanding its North Carolina footprint with a new location at 4121 Main at North Hills Street, Raleigh, within the North Hills mixed-use development. According to the Triangle Business Journal, the Arlington, Virginia-based concept has leased space in the Main District, where it will join Bartaco.

The publication reports that the restaurant is expected to open during the first quarter of 2027.

“South Block is a great addition to North Hills as we continue to focus on creating a best-in-class mix of retail and dining experiences,” Stacey Buescher, executive vice president of commercial operations at Kane Realty Corp., said in a release. “Their focus on community, wellness, and high-quality offerings aligns seamlessly with the lifestyle we strive to create across our properties, and we see people gravitate towards it.”

According to South Block’s website, the brand specializes in handcrafted acai bowls, smoothies, juices, and toasts made with fresh ingredients. The company says its mission is to “make people feel awesome one block at a time” while emphasizing community engagement and wellness through its food and charitable initiatives. The Raleigh restaurant will be its first location in the Triangle, joining two existing Charlotte locations as the company continues to grow its presence in North Carolina.

WhatNow Raleigh will share additional details, including a specific opening date, as they become available.
