Pikasso Swig Craft Bar is bringing its DIY creative experience to downtown Raleigh this fall with a new location at The Sir Walter, 400 Fayetteville Street. Raleigh Magazine first reported the upcoming arrival, while the Pikasso Swig Craft Bar website lists the Raleigh location as coming in fall 2026.
Based in Charlottesville, Virginia, Pikasso Swig Craft Bar offers a different take on the traditional paint-and-sip experience. According to the company’s website, the DIY craft bar gives guests more than 50 projects to choose from, allowing groups to work on different crafts during the same visit.
The Raleigh location will offer projects ranging from classic painting to custom planters, book embroidery, stained glass, and cake decorating, according to Pikasso Swig Craft Bar’s website. The company’s broader craft selection also includes ceramics, jewelry making, leather projects, string art, sand art, glass etching, and other hands-on activities.
Crafting is only part of the experience. The Pikasso Swig Craft Bar website says guests can pair their projects with appetizers, wine, craft beer, and local desserts. The concept also caters to date nights, birthdays, bachelorette parties, team-building events, and other group gatherings.
Pikasso Swig Craft Bar’s website describes the Raleigh location as the “Raleigh Royal Court” and notes that it will revive the former Sir Walter Cabinet space.
Pikasso Swig Craft Bar was founded by Jamie Schwartz, who launched the business in 2019. According to the company’s website, the original Charlottesville location opened downtown in 2021, with the business growing its selection of in-person crafts and take-home creative kits.
An official opening date has not yet been announced. The Pikasso Swig Craft Bar gives downtown Raleigh another option for groups looking to combine food, drinks, and a hands-on creative experience.
