A spot for grabbing a coffee while meeting cute cats is coming to the suburb.

Owner Caroline Jamil is building her new concept Cafe Purrfection in Naperville, a new spot that will also feature a room for guests to meet cats. Jamil did not want to release the address yet, but it will be between Highway 59 and Block 59. The estimated opening date right now is around September or October.

A stay-at-home mom for almost 20 years, Jamil decided she wanted to pick up a business opportunity as one of her children is going off to college. For the cafe, she is partnering with the Animal Rescue Foundation (ARF) in Wheaton to bring in cats available for adoption. The area to meet the cats will need to be reserved, but the cafe with a window to view the animals will be open to the public.

“I wanted to do something with animals,” Jamil said. At the cafe, up to 10 cats will be in the room, and her goal is to make the adoption process easier by letting customers meet the cats.

For drinks, staff will be serving coffees, energy drinks and refreshers. Pre-packed foods will also be offered. From social media, the team recently spent time at the Chicago Coffee Fest to get ideas for brews to serve.

The Block 59 area is quickly developing in Naperville, with additions like Yard House, The Cheesecake Factory and Velvet Taco. Jamil’s new concept will likely be in this same plaza, close to Fox Valley Mall.

More updates on the official opening date will be revealed on the Cafe Purrfection Instagram page.
