Owners of the Italian carry-out spot are making some upgrades this year.
From Shaw Local, Jeff and Sherry Woods from Chianti’s are moving forward with a sit-down restaurant addition for their carry-out spot at 321 Stevens Street, Suite N. They previously had a restaurant operating on 3rd Street in the city. An opening date for the new location hasn’t been confirmed yet.
Chianti’s has been in the Geneva area for over 30 years, serving their classics like cheese tortellini, garlic crab, barbecue shrimp and spaghetti & meatballs. For pasta, the kitchen prepares marinara, bolognese, alfredo and their chianti sauce with oil and garlic. Their 7-inch thin-crust pizza is also a popular option.
The new location is not the only expansion project Chianti’s has gone through, as the team recently debuted their food truck in June. The food truck has already been hosted at local businesses like Riverbends Brewing Company in St. Charles. Soon, the owners will have both a mobile and sit-down option.
The restaurant is just north of downtown Geneva off of Stevens Street. Also at this building is Playhouse 38, a local theater. Penrose Brewing Company is close-by in the plaza.
What Now Chicago has reached out to the Chianti’s team and is awaiting comment. For more updates on Chianti’s in Geneva, visit their Facebook page.
