A new entertainment venue with dancing and dining is coming to The Loop.
Kermess will be a new cabaret show and dining destination right downtown at 32 W Randolph Street. This is at the Cambria Hotel Chicago Loop location in the Theater District. Director of Operations Nicolas Allard said right now, the team is looking at an Oct. 15 opening date.
The project comes from Circensia Entertainment Group, a large production company based in Miami, Florida that coordinates live shows around the country. The company also coordinates special and private events, with themes like 1920s parties and James Bond-themed celebrations. This is their first project in the Chicago area.
“Kermess is Circensia’s new dinner show theater in the heart of Chicago: original shows, close-up spectacle, drinks, dinner and a night with a point of view,” says the description on their website.
Allard said a menu has been finalized, but is not being released until closer to the opening date. It will include food options and drinks like cocktails. Those dining can expect full entrees specially crafted in the kitchen.
The hotel is at the intersection of N Dearborn Street, across from dining concepts like The Dearborn and Petterinos. From the liquor license application, Kermess will be on the 13th and 14th floors. This is a short west of Millennium Park and The Art Institute of Chicago.
Right now, the project is being teased on the team’s social media pages including Instagram. The team is calling it “Chicago’s new home for live entertainment.”
