Fresh deli meats are coming to a new storefront.
The owner of L&M Fine Foods recently submitted a liquor license application for 321 Jefferson Street in West Loop. This would be the team’s second location, again serving cafe and deli items. An opening date has not yet been announced.
The concept was started by Rebecca Goldfarb, who also owns The Social Table in the city. This is a culinary space that hosts party-style cooking classes and dinners. Her North Center location at 4363 N Lincoln Avenue debuted in late 2019.
At the North Center deli, house favorites include the porchetta with roasted garlic aioli and fried capers, as well as the roast beef topped with provolone, giardiniera and horseradish spread. Their classic breakfast sandwich is also an option, with egg, cheese and choice of protein. For drinks, those stopping in can order coffees like lattes, cappuccinos and espressos.
Right now, Byrd’s Hot Chicken operates at the building. This is on the west side of S Jefferson Street, near concepts like Lou Mitchell’s and Swadesi Cafe. Union Station is a short walk from the storefront.
