The two-story space will be a destination for Italian cuisine.
Following their Lake Zurich restaurant, the owners of Lago are introducing a second spot at 1808 Waukegan Road in Glenview this year. This is again being opened by Chef Fabio Viviani’s hospitality group. An opening date will reportedly be sometime this November.
Viviani is on a roll with planning new Chicagoland concepts, as he’s getting ready to introduce BOCADO Tapas and Retoro in downtown Barrington. He and the team have other concepts in the area including Prime & Provisions, Bar Siena, GIostra and Siena Tavern. Viviani also has concepts in California, Florida, Nevada and Ohio.
At the Lake Zurich location, 350 N Rand Road, Italian entrees, steaks, wine and cocktails are served daily. Their seafood options include wild caught Alaskan king salmon and broiled twin lobster tails. The menu for the Glenview spot is expected to be very similar with some new additions.
The restaurant is under construction at the intersection of Chestnut Avenue, across from The Clove Italian and Nepali Cuisine. This was formerly Pizano’s Pizza & Pasta. The storefront is just north of downtown Glenview and the Metra station.
On their website, it states the company is now hiring for various positions. The team will be releasing more information on the new restaurant in the near future.
