Pizza and wine has always been a popular option in the city.
Pizzeria Gabbo is a new listed concept from Lettuce Entertain You coming to 834 W Fulton Market Suite 200. The hospitality company is partnering with accomplished chef Andrew Ashmore for the project. An opening date is estimated for sometime in the fall.
Lettuce Entertain You describes the concept as a “neighborhood pizzeria & bar.” While a menu hasn’t been released, hand-tossed pizzas with fresh dough are to be expected. Options will also be Italian dishes, pastas, salads and gelato, from Chicago Food Magazine.
Ashmore is also the managing partner and corporate chef for Beatrix, also at the building in Suite 100. He has years of experience in hospitality, previously working at restaurants in the Phoenix area. Now, he is helping support Lettuce Entertain You’s many concepts.
Pizzeria Gabbo is moving in next to Labriola Italian Specialties at the intersection of N Peoria Street. Other concepts at the building are Aba Mediterranean, Costera Cocina Tulum and Punch Bowl Social. This is a short walk from the Morgan CTA Green and Pink line station.
Right now, the team is beginning to hire for positions including service, kitchen, management and chef. More information on the new concept will be released in the coming weeks.
