The owners are grilling up specialties from their home country.
Koky Bistro Puerto Rican Cuisine & Bar is the newest concept coming to Cicero at 5901 W 35th Street. This is on the south side of town, not far from Morton College. From recent posts online, the restaurant is expected to open in about a month.
“Authentic Puerto Rican flavors made with love,” says the description on their Facebook page.
While an exact menu hasn’t been released, authentic Puerto Rican dishes like raices urbano, or pork chop, mofongo with plantains and tapas are going to be served. From pictures, burgers will also be prepared. For drinks, cocktails are also displayed on the restaurant’s social media.
Koky Bistro is opening at the corner of S 59th Avenue, next to Chely’s Pizza. Taqueria Alamo is across the street, and it joins many other Hispanic restaurants along W 35th. The LaVergne Metra station in Berwyn is the nearest transit to the location, along with other bus routes.
The restaurant is now hiring for positions including host, bartender and line cook. What Now Chicago is awaiting comment from the owners on the new location.
