Mediterranean flavors are being brought to a busy plaza in the neighborhood.

It is confirmed the new Pita Inn location is coming to Six Corners at 4035 N Cicero Avenue this winter. Signage is now up, and this replaces the former Sears Auto Center. An exact opening date has not been announced, but it will debut sometime this winter.

The Mediterranean chain also operates in Skokie, Wheeling, Glenview, Mundelein and Naperville. Their first location debuted in Skokie in 1982, and was opened by owner Falah Tabahi. Now, the chain is managed by his children Hazem and Eyad Tabahi.

The markets and restaurants have a diverse menu of salads, soups, kabob sandwiches and entrees like beef fish. Those dining at the restaurant often order the popular hummus, topped with tahini. Beverages like hot mint tea, coffee and fresh-squeezed lemonade are also offered.

Pita Inn will serve the community at the corner of Cicero and W Cuyler avenues. This is close to retailers at the plaza including Jewel-Osco, Famous Footwear and Marshalls. The nearest restaurants to the building are Tank Kitchen & Bar and City News Cafe.

What Now Chicago has reached out to the owners of Pita Inn and is awaiting comment.
