An area of the neighborhood with heavy foot traffic may be getting a new dining option.
A new concept from Bonhomme Group called Lolo Y Lola is planned for 2576-2580 N Lincoln Avenue, per a recent liquor license application. The space will also feature an outdoor patio. An opening date for the concept has not yet been released.
As there is no menu, those awaiting the opening can only speculate what will be served. Given the name, it could be either a Spanish or Latin American concept. What Now Chicago is awaiting comment from Bonhomme Group owner Daniel Alonso on the opening.
“We love hosting and enveloping our guests with joyous hospitality, rich storytelling, and true escapism filled with pleasure,” says the description on their website.
Bonhomme Group is unique in that it manages locations in both Spain and Chicago. Windy City concepts include Bambola and Kashmir in West Loop, and Good Funk, with locations in The Loop and West Loop. What Now Chicago previously covered the group opening the Mexican concept Vela in River North.
The restaurant/bar is coming to the south end of the intersection at N Sheffield Avenue and N Lincoln Avenue. This is close to Prost! German restaurant, and across the street from Jonquil Park. Lincoln Park’s center is just a few blocks south.
