After nearly nine years in business, Lepa Boutique is preparing to close its Downtown Hinsdale store. Owner Sonja Zecevic announced the closure in a video shared on social media. Zecevic said the boutique could no longer remain at the location after the property’s new landlord increased the rent.
Lepa Boutique Announces Closure After Rent Hike
Lepa Boutique, located at 42 S. Washington St., is expected to close, although a final closing date has not been announced. The landlord of the boutique has increased rent by 125%, and although the parties tried to reach an agreement, they failed to do so, Zecevic said.
She posted, “We are closing after almost 9 incredible years.”
Zecevic thanked customers for supporting the boutique, “From our most loyal clients, to the haters and everyone in between, THANK YOU!.” Shoppers can get their favorite products at heavy discounts as the boutique is holding a clearance sale.
Customers can receive discounts of 50% to 70% on purchases made both in-store and online. The post ended with, “We look forward to seeing you all!! There is still a FULL store to shop from! If you are shopping online, there is no code necessary at checkout. Your discount will be applied on the last page.”
