Those in the area in need of a power tool or bucket of paint will have a new spot.
JRC Ace Hardware Group, a co-op of Ace Hardware, is getting ready to debut a new store in Elmwood Park. The address looks to be at 2728 N Harlem Avenue near the W Diversey intersection. CEO of the hardware group Raffaelo Cianfaglione told What Now Chicago he is hoping to debut the new location sometime this summer.
“Progress at Elmwood Park Ace Hardware is moving at an impressive pace—faster than expected, to be honest. We anticipate the walls reaching 100% completion by mid next week, with steel arriving shortly after. If everything stays on track, we should be under roof by mid-June,” says a post from JRC Ace Hardware Group.
Currently, the company has shops in Evergreen Park, Richmond, Warrenville, Fox River Grove, Norridge, Des Plaines and Mesa, Arizona. Services at the locations include small engine repair for lawnmowers and generators, water heater installation, key cutting and plexi glass cutting. Stores also have U-Haul rentals on-site, and a full list of their inventory can be found on their website.
The new store is under construction close to a BP gas station at the intersection. This is across the street from a plaza featuring Sorrento’s Pizza, Telekom Communications cell phone store and a 7-Eleven. The structure is being built from scratch, and the walls are now up.
As the hardware group makes more progress on the new store, the team will be updating the community on their Instagram
