The Chicago-based menswear destination is moving down the street with new offerings.
Tie Bar will soon relocate to 1007 W Armitage Avenue in Lincoln Park. The 2,000-square-foot space is just a few blocks from their current store at 918 W Armitage Avenue. President of Tie Bar Michelle Kohanzo told What Now Chicago the team is hoping to debut the new location by mid-July.
“Relocating our flagship is both a milestone and a reflection of how far we’ve come. What began as a digitally native neckwear focused brand has evolved into a complete shopping experience—one that allows us to connect with our customers directly and dress them from head to toe. Chicago will always be our home, and this move reinforces our commitment to that foundation as we grow into other markets in the future.” Kohanzo said in a press release.
Tie Bar offers a wide range of tie designs, bow ties, dress shirts, suits and more. Some products are also made in Italy, with both plain and patterned ties with floral and dotted designs. Accessories sold include pocket squares, socks, tie bars, suspenders and belts.
Kohanzo said the new location will have a souvenir shop, with collections of products like fragrances, jewelry and belt buckles. Those shopping will be able to utilize their tailor-made measuring services for shirts. Customers can also expect products from their latest collaborations with Laura Ashley, Miller High Life and Frank Lloyd Wright.
The new Tie Bar is opening near the intersection of W Armitage and N Sheffield avenues. It will be right next to a Starbucks, and across the street from both Armitage Alehouse and The Budlong Southern Kitchen. Thai is on the southwest side of Lincoln Park.
