A store perfect for alternative, goth and witchy shopping items is coming back to the Rockford area.
The team at Wolf Hollow, a gift shop and oddities store in Rockford, is opening a new location at 530 Windsor Road. This new store was just announced on July 25, and construction at the space is underway. Owner Elizabeth Wolf told What Now Chicago she is hoping to open the new store on Sept. 5.
Wolf Hollow was previously at 3800 E State Street in Rockford, and closed last year after serving the community for six years. At the shop, Wolf sells in-house made jewelry, home decor, secondhand finds, bath and body products, and candles. Books are sold as well, with subjects including occult, witchcraft and paranormal.
“You never know what you’re going to find,” Wolf said.
Wolf describes the store as “if your grandmother were a witch and she lived in a Victorian home next to a cemetery, and she had magical friends visit and leave her gifts. This is our vibe and these are the kinds of gifts you will find in our shop. There are magical gifts that can only be found at the store, and many in the Rockford area have enjoyed stopping by over the years.
The shop is opening on the north side of Windsor Road, near the intersection of N 2nd Street. This is across from Doc’s Diner, and E Z Auto Sales is on the other side of 1st Street. Downtown Rockford is about a 10-minute drive south of the location.
As it gets closer to the opening date, Wolf Hollow will be updating the community on the opening date on their Facebook page.
