A new coffee shop looks to be on its way to Westerville. As detailed in a recently filed permit, Shibam Coffee Shop is making plans to open at 8310 Sancus Blvd, in the former home of Swan Cleaners. According to language in the filing, the buildout work will include putting in a service countertop, a utility room, two bathrooms and new flooring, with the estimated cost of the work at $60,000.

Further information, such as what style of coffee or food the establishment will serve or the expected timeline for opening the business aren’t clear. Google Earth photos of the exterior of the building show that it has a drive-thru, so it’s reasonable to assume that Shibam Coffee Shop will offer drive-thru as well as inside service.

What Now Columbus reached out to the coffee shop to learn more, but a request for comment wasn’t available at the time of this article’s publication.
