Domo Sushi Kitchen & Bar is preparing to expand its footprint in Central Ohio with a second location planned for Historic Dublin, according to Columbus Underground.

The new restaurant will take over the former Mr. Sushi space at the corner of Bridge Street and High Street, according to an announcement shared on the restaurant’s social media channels.

“With the support so many of you have shown Domo in the Short North, we’re excited to bring our passion, energy, and creativity to Dublin while continuing to honor the foundation that made Mr. Sushi special to so many people over the years,” owner Daniel Kim shared in a recent Instagram post.

Kim opened the original Domo Sushi Kitchen & Bar in Columbus’ Short North neighborhood in 2023, taking over the former Nida’s Thai on High space. The upcoming Dublin location carries special significance for the restaurateur.

“Mr. Sushi has always been more than just a restaurant to us — it’s part of our family history. The restaurant was previously owned and operated by my father, and being able to continue its legacy in a new chapter means a great deal to us,” Kim added.

While an opening date has not yet been announced, the new location is expected to blend elements of the original Mr. Sushi concept with Domo’s contemporary approach to Japanese cuisine.

Kim said the team aims to maintain the qualities that made the restaurant a local favorite while introducing fresh concepts and experiences that will continue to serve and engage the community for years to come.

Additional details regarding the restaurant’s menu, design, and opening timeline have not yet been released.

What Now Columbus has reached out to Daniel Kim for further information and will provide updates as they become available.
