Denver-based Teriyaki Madness is getting ready to take over the greater Columbus area with the addition of three locations, all expected to open this year through franchise agreements.

The company has four restaurants open in the state, including one in the Columbus area at 833 Polaris Parkway in Westerville. Through franchise agreements, Teriyaki Madness is getting ready to double down in Ohio sites by the end of 2025. The first to open will be in Worthington at 7105 N. High Street in the Worthington Gateway, which will open this month, according to Columbus Business Journal. After this, the company will open a new location in New Albany at 5792 N. Hamilton Road near Hamilton Quarter, scheduled to open in March. Finally, a third new location is expected to open in Dublin at 16 N. High Street later this year. A fourth Ohio Teriyaki Madness will open later this year in Stow.

Chief Marketing Officer Jodi Boyce told the Business Journal that the brand expects to open 10 to 15 new locations in the state over the next five years in addition to those currently in development. She mentioned the potential for up to 25 restaurants in the Columbus market. The brand has already signed nine franchise agreements in the state, and a few more are still in the works.

“Columbus is a large, growing area,” Boyce tells the Business Journal. “We’re looking at a teriyaki takeover.”

This takeover is only possible with the help of franchise owners in the area, and Columbus has a few of them. Dhruv and Smit Patel own and operate the Westerville location but will also franchise the upcoming New Albany restaurant along with Anshu Garg and Parth Pandya. A separate franchise owner, Heena Patel, will operate the forthcoming location in Worthington, while Jorge Briones will franchise the Dublin location. By the end of the year, these franchisees, plus others, will have opened twice as many existing locations in Ohio.
