A fast-casual burger concept from Texas Roadhouse Inc. is expanding into Central Ohio, with Jaggers preparing to make its Ohio debut in Columbus, according to the Best Corporate Real Estate Facebook page.
The restaurant is planned for 1321 Polaris Parkway in Columbus, Ohio 43240, bringing the brand’s made-to-order burgers, hand-breaded chicken, salads and hand-spun milkshakes to the Polaris area.
Jaggers is a fast-casual concept created by Texas Roadhouse and first launched in 2014 in Noblesville, Indiana. The brand is designed around counter service and drive-thru convenience while focusing on made-to-order food and fresh ingredients.
The menu includes double-stacked burgers, chicken sandwiches, hand-breaded chicken tenders, salads and hand-spun milkshakes, giving the concept a menu that sits between a traditional burger restaurant and a quick-service chicken spot.
The Columbus project will mark Jaggers’ first location in Ohio and represents part of Texas Roadhouse Inc.’s broader expansion of the brand beyond its flagship steakhouse concept.
Plans for the Polaris location call for a new Jaggers restaurant in one of Central Ohio’s busiest retail and dining corridors. The site is near the Polaris shopping district and will give the brand a prominent entry point into the Ohio market.
While an opening date has not yet been announced, the project is part of a larger Central Ohio expansion for Jaggers.
In June, plans were also reported for a second Columbus-area Jaggers at 837 Refugee Road in Pickerington, Ohio 43147. That project calls for a roughly 3,500-square-foot standalone restaurant with 31 parking spaces on approximately one acre.
The Pickerington project would give Jaggers another foothold in the Central Ohio market as the company continues expanding its footprint.
Jaggers is one of several restaurant concepts operated by Texas Roadhouse Inc., which also owns the well-known Texas Roadhouse steakhouse chain and Bubba’s 33. The company has been expanding all three concepts, including plans for a new Bubba’s 33 in Reynoldsburg.
The Jaggers concept was created as a faster, more streamlined restaurant option, with customers able to order at the counter or use the drive-thru. The menu focuses on burgers, chicken, salads and shakes while maintaining the company’s emphasis on made-to-order food.
As Jaggers prepares to enter Ohio, the Polaris location will introduce Columbus diners to a concept that has already expanded beyond its Indiana roots into markets including Kentucky, North Carolina, Texas and other states.
