A new entertainment destination is taking shape in Cheviot, bringing pickleball, live music, sports, an arcade, food, and a full-service bar to the former Cappel’s building at 3635 Harrison Avenue. According to posts from Central Station, the upcoming tenant is working toward a fall debut.

Central Station will be an approximately 15,000-square-foot venue with an occupancy of almost 500 people. The bar will feature four wells and huge televisions throughout the space, catering to sports fans. Rather than building out a traditional kitchen, the concept will use a local trailer, Cincy Smash, to handle food operations. Guests will be able to scan a QR code at their table, order food online, and receive a text message when their order is ready.

Attached to the main space will be a warehouse area containing two indoor pickleball courts and a family area with a full arcade. There will also be a large stage at the front of the building, with live music expected a few times per week.

The venue has been under construction, with co-owner Greg Schoenling sharing progress updates on social media recently. Schoenling told What Now Columbus the goal is to open in mid-October.

“My goal was to create a place for everyone. There are 12 other bars in the bar district, and I am excited to become a part of it! All of the bar owners in the district are working together to make all of Cheviot a great place to visit,” he shared.

The business has listed its future operating hours as Monday through Friday from 3 PM to 1:45 AM and Saturday and Sunday from 11 AM to 1:45 AM. Pickleball play will be offered from 5 AM to midnight.
