Fantasy Claw Arcade is preparing to introduce a new entertainment concept to Columbus, bringing its Japanese-inspired claw machine experience to Easton Town Center according to Columbus Business First.
The Las Vegas-founded brand will open its newest location on the second floor of the Easton Station building, marking the company’s fifth location and its first in Ohio. The 1,700-square-foot arcade will feature more than 70 claw machines designed for guests of all ages, offering everything from plush toys and figurines to Pokémon cards, electronics and Ohio State-themed merchandise.
Unlike traditional arcades, Fantasy Claw Arcade focuses entirely on claw games, with a mix of standard, digital and multi-claw machines, including the company’s signature “Claw King” attraction.
According to the company, the concept is designed to create an immersive entertainment experience rather than simply offering games.
The Columbus location is operated by local franchisees Todd Appelbaum and Brian Campbell. Appelbaum is a familiar name in the local business community, having previously founded the Cup O Joe coffeehouse chain before it was acquired by Stauf’s Coffee Roasters in 1999.
Fantasy Claw Arcade was founded in 2024 and has quickly expanded beyond its Las Vegas roots. Company officials have said they hope to grow the brand to 100 locations nationwide by the end of the decade, with Columbus serving as an important step in that expansion.
In addition to the Easton location, the local ownership group has expressed interest in opening more Fantasy Claw Arcade locations throughout Columbus and other parts of Ohio.
What Now Columbus has reached out to the local franchise owners to learn more about the Easton location, future expansion plans and what guests can expect. This story may be updated as more information becomes available.
