Burning Rice is preparing to bring its Korean-inspired fast-casual concept to Mansfield. According to public filings, the location is planned at 2301 E. Broad Street, Suite 101. What Now Dallas spoke with CEO Will Choi, who confirmed that the restaurant aims to open in November or December 2026.

The concept specializes in customizable bibimbap bowls, alongside Korean-inspired favorites such as bulgogi beef, spicy garlic pork, barbecue chicken, and Korean barbecue dishes.

The new store is part of a broader period of growth for Burning Rice, which plans to open multiple locations over the next 12 months. Will said they were drawn to Mansfield because it stood out as a really great community that Burning Rice excited to serve in it’s next chapter. “We like the development rate of this area, and we like the street, its access to hospitals, highways, and schools,” he told What Now Dallas.

Founded in 2018, Burning Rice was created by Choi’s family after relocating from Korea to Texas and seeing an opportunity to introduce more diners to Korean cuisine.

The brand now operates locations across the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex, including Addison, Plano, Frisco, The Colony, Hurst, and Dallas’ Preston Center. As the company has grown, Will said one of the most rewarding aspects has been seeing how fellow Texans have embraced Korean cuisine as their own

“It’s not a very common food for most of Texas,” Will said. “To see people enjoy it with their friends and family on a weekly basis, that’s been very gratifying”.

That support has not gone unnoticed. Will expressed he remains grateful to the communities and customers who have embraced the concept over the years. “As a family owned business, we’re thankful for everyone in our community. It’s been a gift for us. We hope to serve a growing number of people to enjoy for a long time,” Will told What Now Dallas.
