Chicken Salad Chick is coming to Rockwall. According to public filings, the fast-casual chain plans to open at 2951 Ridge Road, Suite 119, within a shopping center anchored by Kroger. What Now Dallas spoke with Meggie Schissler, partner of J&M Hospitality, franchise owner who confirmed an opening expected by the end of 2026.
Chicken Salad Chick is Southern-inspired chain specializing in scratch-made chicken salads, soups, and sides. Founded in Auburn the brand has grown to more than 270 locations across the Southeast and beyond, with an expanding presence in Texas.
The menu features more than a dozen chicken salad flavors, from classic options to bold, creative combinations, and signature sides like Dixie Chick pasta salad.
Schissler said the location was chosen for its visibility, easy access, and the energy of the surrounding neighborhood. The brand has already seen customers from Rockwall visiting its other locations, making the new outpost a natural next step. “We are just proud to serve fresh chicken salad. We make it by hand every day, and it’s great for quick, healthy meals for families and for catering,” she told What Now Dallas.
To celebrate the grand opening, Schissler confirmed with What Now Austin that the team plans a full week of giveaways, including free chicken salad for a year. Details will be announced at least 12 weeks ahead of opening on the store’s Rockwall Facebook page.
Construction on the space is set to begin soon, according to Schissler, who said she is excited about the upcoming opening and has already felt the community’s enthusiasm. “We’ve gotten so much excitement already from the community, and we’re really grateful,” she said.
