According to public filings, the popular Mediterranean fast-casual chain could be headed to one of Collin County’s fastest-growing cities. Luna Grill Mediterranean Kitchen could open at 3515 S. Preston Road, Suite 130, in Celina. The brand, founded in San Diego, is known for its grilled kabobs, fresh salads, bowls, pita wraps and house-made hummus. The concept focuses on fresh ingredients with no added hormones or preservatives.
What Now Dallas reached out to Luna Grill representatives for an opening timeline but did not receive a response by the time of publication. Public filings indicate the new location will occupy a 2,183-square-foot space, with construction scheduled for completion by the end of December 2026.
The brand has deep roots in the Dallas-Fort Worth market. Luna Grill expanded into Texas in 2018 with eight DFW locations, including Alliance, Flower Mound, Southlake and Colleyville, a move the company said at the time was driven by increasing demand from loyal guests. A Plano location on Preston Road has since joined the lineup, and a Forney outpost could be in the works as well.
Luna Grill has made no secret of its appetite for Texas. Chief Marketing Officer Billy Grenham previously told What Now that DFW diners have “an incredible appreciation for food that’s both delicious and nutritious,” reflecting the company’s long-term confidence in the region.
If the project moves forward, the Celina location could bring the brand’s Mediterranean fare to a community that has experienced explosive residential and retail growth along the Preston Road corridor in recent years.
