The upcoming Dallas spot follows the brand’s 2024 entry into Plano at 8442 Parkwood Blvd. According to Perez, the time spent in the Plano market made the case for Dallas clear.
“Dallas gives us the opportunity to test our concept in a different type of community and better understand how our brand can grow across the region,” the Vice President told What Now Dallas. “We’re not just looking to open another location; we want to bring the Talkin’ Tacos experience to local residents and build real relationships in the community.”
The concept traces back to 2020, when co-founders Mohammad “Mo” Farraj and Omar Al-Massalkhi launched a food truck during the early months of the pandemic and landed on birria, a slow-cooked Mexican meat stew traditionally simmered with dried chiles and spices, as their cornerstone offering.
Talkin’ Tacos’ most viral offering is the birria taco, featuring slow-cooked beef infused with spices and served in a warm corn tortilla. It is accompanied by Chihuahua cheese, a mild and buttery semi-soft Mexican cheese, along with onions, cilantro, and a flavorful consommé.
The brand operates under a strict hospitality philosophy. “We pride ourselves on building genuine, long-term relationships with our guests,” Perez told What Now Dallas, pointing to the chain’s 100% money-back guarantee. “We do not believe in taking anyone’s money unless they are fully satisfied with their experience.”
