Steakhouse chain continues rapid expansion. According to public filings, Texas Roadhouse plans to build a new restaurant at the intersection of I-35 and U.S. Highway 287 in Waxahachie.
What Now Dallas reached out to Texas Roadhouse representatives to inquire about an opening timeline, but did not receive an answer prior to publication. Permitting records list a construction completion date of June 2027. However, dates listed in public filings are subject to change and are not always definitive.
Founded in Clarksville, Indiana, Texas Roadhouse is known for its hand-cut steaks, fall-off-the-bone ribs, made-from-scratch sides, ice-cold beer, and freshly baked bread served with honey cinnamon butter, along with its signature Cactus Blossom appetizer. The chain has grown to nearly 800 locations in the U.S. and roughly 70 more across 11 countries.
The Waxahachie project matches a template Texas Roadhouse has repeated across the state in recent years. What Now Austin reported on a nearly identical 7,926-square-foot restaurant and bar planned for Georgetown, a roughly $2 million project.
What Now Dallas has also tracked similar builds closer to Waxahachie, including a Fort Worth location at 13101 NW Highway 287 and a Granbury restaurant of the same square footage, next to a Mattress Firm store. This outlet also previously reported on the brand’s broader push to deepen its Dallas-area presence.
