A new donut concept will be emerging next year, opening at 29 E Moreno Ave. Dad’s Donuts, a new venture by Mitch Yellen, will debut in the spring of 2024, Springs Mag reports.

Yellen is the founder of Altitude Hospitality Group, which owns many local venues: Trainwreck, The Pinery North, The Pinery, Vine & Wheel, Till, Sprig, and Garden of the Gods Market and Café.

Dad’s Donuts is reportedly based on Five Daughter’s Bakery in Tennessee’s concept. It will have handcrafted doughnuts and its menu will feature a 100-layer donut made of croissant dough. The baking process takes three days.

The location for the new shop is on the corner of Tejon and Moreno, next to a few of Altitude Hospitality Group’s other concepts. It is about a mile from the bustling downtown area of Colorado Springs, and right off I-25.
