MainStage Brewing, a Lyons-based brewery is expanding into Gunbarrel with a second location, according to posts from the business made earlier this month. The concept will be moving into the space currently held by Beyond the Mountain Brewing — 6035 Longbow Dr Unit 109.

On Beyond The Mountain Brewing’s website, a message states that after seven years, the concept will be closing on April 27. The company thanked the community for their support and introduced them to MainStage Brewing; the two entities have partnered on various operational aspects for years.

As for MainStage’s announcement, it posted, “We plan to keep the amazing beer, community, and music alive in Gunbarrel by formally adopting their space as our primary brewing facility and second tasting room!”

MainStage Brewing launched in Lyons in 2020 and quickly became a town staple for its craft beer, food, and a rotating schedule of live music and community-oriented events. The company’s Instagram shows a busy schedule of trivia nights, book clubs, bingo, dice games, and more.

The venture was co-founded bu Eric Kean and Sam Scruby. Scruby previously worked with Upslope Brewing, while Kean served as executive director of the Left Hand Brewing Foundation and helped launch the Colorado Strong Fund in 2020 alongside the Colorado Brewers Guild during the pandemic.
