An authentic Mexican restaurant has their sights set on another town on the Saginaw Bay.
Los Pinostacos Mexican Grill announced on their social media the restaurant is opening a second location, this time at 747 N Beck Street in Sebewaing. This is the team’s first expansion, staying in the thumb of the state. Owner Carlos Donato told What Now Detroit he is hoping to debut the new Los Pinostacos sometime in about a month or later, pending the construction timeline.
When the Bay City spot at 1614 Kosciuszko Avenue first opened in 2022, it quickly became a local destination for Mexican cuisine. Now, Donato is building a second restaurant about a half hour from his current location.
“We truly appreciate every customer who has supported us, shared our business, and continued to show us love from day one. None of this would be possible without you. Thank you for being part of our journey; we can’t wait to serve you at our new location,” says a recent post from the Los Pinostacos team.
The restaurant serves tacos in flour and corn tortillas, or hard shell, with flavors like al pastor, birria and carnitas. Other options available include burritos, soups, nachos and entrees like their taco dinners. The dinners come with rice and beans, and other add-ons like sour cream or guacamole.
The restaurant will open on the west side of N Beck Street, just north of downtown Sebewaing. Not many concepts are in this part of the city, but Village Pizzeria is just down the street at the N Carpenter intersection. The address was formerly Peking City, a Chinese and American cuisine spot.
