A new coffee experience is in the plans this year.

Rhythm Coffee is a coffee business from Erin Carnes, local of the city. She is aiming to open a new shop that will serve handcrafted coffees and other drinks for the community. Right now, Carnes does not have a location chosen but is raising money and hoping to announce one in the coming weeks.

At the moment, Carnes has set up the business as a catering coffee company. On her website, those interested can fill out information for coffee to be served at markets, celebrations and creative spaces.

“Rhythm Coffee grew from that understanding. It’s where my love of art, presence, and hospitality comes together. Each drink is made with real ingredients, served in thrifted mugs, and offered with attention and warmth. The goal is not speed or volume. It’s creating a pause. A small exhale in the middle of the day,” says the description on Rhythm Coffee’s website.

Carnes is hoping to raise $5,000 by Aug. 20 to reserve a space for her new coffee shop. Right now, she is still offering the coffee bar for booking. Coffees are served in bulks of six, 10 and 20 drinks.

What Now Detroit has reached out to Carnes for more information on her coffee concept. For additional updates on Rhythm Coffee and the future location, visit the business’ Instagram @rhythmcoffee_moments.
